ATTENTION ALL STATE AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT COMMANDERS

As directed by the Commander General, Navy Capt. Umar Abubakar Bakori, the following instructions are mandatory for all 36 State Commanders, including FCT, and all Local Government Commanders:

Protocol for Suspect Handover to Police

1. Download the VGN HANDOVER TO POLICE FORM from the official portal.
2. Fill out the form completely when arresting a suspect.
3. Make a photocopy of the completed form for records.
4. Hand over the suspect to the police authorities.
5. Collect a stamped acknowledgement signed by the police officer receiving the suspect.
6. Take a snapshot of the acknowledgement and send it to the National ICT department.
