Abuja, Nigeria – The Commander General of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN), Navy Capt. (Dr) Umar Bakori, embarked on a strategic visit to the palaces of traditional rulers in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on 3rd july,2024. The visit aimed to strengthen collaboration and foster a united front against insecurity in the region.
Accompanied by senior VGN commanders and operatives, the Commander General held fruitful consultations with the Emir of Jiwa, Sarkin of Bwari, and the Emir of Bwari. During the meetings, he briefed the revered monarchs on the VGN’s efforts to combat banditry, kidnapping, and other security threats in collaboration with other security agencies.
The Commander General expressed his gratitude to the traditional rulers for their support and appealed for continued cooperation in logistics and intelligence sharing. This partnership aims to ensure peace and stability in their domains and the nation’s capital.
